Gorgeous property in a relaxing and beautiful setting

I had a wonderful time at this property. I spent 3 weeks alone there, a perfect retreat It was very beautiful, both inside and outside of the house. The sound of the surf was relaxing and the reflective surface of the pool was entrancing. The staff of wonderful and attentive to detail. The garden and pool were well taken care of and I felt safe at night with the watchman and well placed lighting. Iluh and Putu took excellent care of the house and of me. They cooked simple home style meals, and arranged everything for me including my massages, visits to town and to the Spice Beach Club for some variety. The manager of the property, Anik, even took my passport in to get an extension on the Visa.

On the last day at their suggestion, I went to the nearby Buddhist temple and to the Hot Springs. I wish I had gone there earlier so I could have gone to them more once. My only complaint was a couple times when the next door neighbors rental had noisy children that woke me up early in the morning and adults that partied until fairly late. But that was only 3 or 4 days and I don’t think there’s anything that the owner of this villa could do about that. Most the time it was private and tranquil. Highly recommended.

Simply stunning! We could not have had a better stay at Angelique’s incredible villa. The pool is massive and provides a welcome break from the sun. The staff at the house were so welcoming and friendly for the entire stay – really did make the house feel like a home! We so enjoyed our stay and would jump back there as soon as possible!

Das Team rund um die die Villa ist ein Traum. Putu und Iluh sind ein wunderbahres Team. Sie sind da, ohne aufzufallen. Sie haben uns jeden Wunsch von den Lippen abgelesen und auch erfüllt. Der Gärtner Gede macht einen großartigen Job! Der Garten ist so schön und gepflegt, ein Traum! Mit Made fühlten wir uns immer sicher – der Sicherheitsmann im Hintergrund. SUPER! Wer auch immer für diese Teamzusammenstellung verantwortlich ist, du hast das perfekte Team gefunden!

Die Villa selbst ist ein Traum! Der Pool, ein Traum! Das Ambiente, die Beleuchtung, alles drum rum ist wirklich ein Traum! Wir hatten leider nur eine Woche in der Villa – gern hätten wir hier viel mehr Zeit verbracht. Zeit zum runterkommen und entschleunigen.

“Heaven on Earth!”

This was our favorite place to stay in our travels. We loved the beautiful villa and grounds, the pool, the view, and especially the staff who never failed to greet us with a friendly smile. Our only regret is we didn’t stay longer. Don’t hesitate to book this villa. It is well worth the drive, and you will see a slice of Bali that is much more laid back and pristine than the normal tourist spots.

Really, the listings do not do this lovely property justice.

Very comfortable accommodation with everything you would need. Attentive, competent and friendly staff who enjoyed interacting with us and going above and beyond even inviting us to their Hindu temple on a major festival day. When we had issues with lost luggage Anek was very helpful and our driver, Tu Deh was very safe and personable. Overall, we loved our stay at Villa The Mango Trees and would highly recommend it to others.

Absolutely Perfect!!! I can not say enough wonderful things about our stay at this property!! It was by far our favorite villa we rented in Bali!!! All staff were extremely kind and seemed committed to making our stay as comfortable as possible. The meals they cooked for us were delicious and plentiful. Everything was clean and appeared very well maintained. I had read some reviews stating the beach was dirty, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as I was expecting. And there had obviously been an effort to clean up the beach area in front of the villa. Highly recommend taking advantage of the early morning dolphin viewing. He will pick you up right on the beach by the property. We loved the pool and the gardens!!! Such a beautiful setting to enjoy relaxation and fun!! Would highly highly recommend this place to anyone!!

Die Beschreibungen und Bilder im Internet unter Airbnb spiegeln original das wieder was dort vorzufinden und zu erwarten ist (keinerlei “Fake”)! Die Unterkunft ist großartig und sehr sauber. Das Personal ist stets bemüht für den Gast es so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Insbesondere sind die beiden Damen Iluh und Putu zu erwähnen, die für das leibliche Wohl sorgen. Auch der Gärtner und der Mann für die Sicherheit sind sehr freundlich und jederzeit für die Gäste da. Für uns gab es keinerlei Kritik an der Unterkunft und dies war unserer entspanntester Urlaub seit Jahren. Daher werden wir mit Sicherheit dieses Haus nochmals buchen. Es sei noch erwähnt, dass auch der Kontakt zu Angelique bezüglich offener Fragen und Abläufe sehr angenehm war und dass die Antworten sehr schnell kamen. Nochmals Danke für den schönen Urlaub.

Tranquility at it’s best!

The staff were incredible – always coming up with nice, unexpected touches and could not have been more helpful. The meals they cooked were fantastic and when we went to many restaurants they made all the arrangements for us. Villa is stunning. As good as it gets!

This is an amazing property. What ever listed is accurate and it looks much better than the photos! The staff were excellent as well and we did not feel unsafe in this open location. If you stay here, remember to book a dolphin trip from the property manager. You board the boat right in front of the villa, and the boatman stayed longer than most other boats to get close to the dolphins! The location is a little far but this is what we are in for!

We are extremely pleased and satisfied staying at your villa. The villa is MUCH BETTER than the photo. We had great time, the local staff were amazing! The host really communicative and fast reponse. check in process is extremely smooth, they have been expecting us and we just enter the property right away, HASSLE-FREE. The view was splendid, even for me who is hiding in the shade while the other is having sun bathing time. I can watch my children playing 10hours -straight- in the pool and sand, while I was enjoying my book and chilling in the air-con room! Villa Mango Trees is absolutely beautiful!

It is a long drive over winding hills from the party part of Bali, which is exactly what we wanted. Being so remote would be challenging but Iluh and Putu were there to help with transportation arrangements, shopping, cooking and keeping things tidy. Everything in the villa was in great condition. The beach had trash (as did every one we saw in Bali), but was cleaned in front of the villa. This was of little consequence because we practically lived in the gorgeous warm pool. Restaurants in the area were good, but the home cooking could not be beat and was very affordable. Nearby towns were mostly locals, and sightseeing up north is limited, which made staying at the villa so easy. Shopping at Krisna was very affordable with the largest selection of anywhere we came across. At night, there are mosquitoes (hence the netting on the beds), but there also is a large number of means provided to control them. If we find ourselves back in Bali we won’t hesitate to stay at this gorgeous villa.

Highly recommend this place to whoever traveling to Lovina. It is a gem in Lovina and a perfect place for 2-3 families to chillax. It has a big pool with a beach right in front of the property. Its front and back gardens are lovely sights and great place to take photographs. Dolphins and monkeys are a must see in Lovina. Do buy loads of fruits (mangos, jackfruits, durians if you like, mangosteens, etc).

The descriptions you have read on here or the website are what you get! It really is that perfect! The staff are so friendly and helpful! The house is beautiful! I wouldn’t recommend swimming in the sea as this was disgusting even with the staff cleaning it. But it’s not something you can change. To look at it though, is perfect and you have the lovely cooling pool to use. The geckos are really cute and won’t hurt you. Even the big ones, as long as you leave them alone it’s all good. We had a trip out one morning to look at the sunrise and dolphins! It was perfect and spectacular to see!

Without doubt the best villa I have ever stayed in, a true paradise. Our expectations were high as the listing looked so amazing but the villa was even better than we had hoped. It’s just beautiful, a really lovely villa with everything you could want. All of the four bedrooms were incredibly comfortable with en-suite bathrooms. The sitting-room was lovely but we spent all of our time outside on the terrace and in the pool. And so much space – always somewhere to disappear with a book if you need peace and quiet. The staff were great, they had made us a delicious dinner for our arrival and an amazing breakfast the next day. We had thought it would be odd having staff around but they were very discreet and incredibly helpful when required – doing shopping for us, booking restaurants and arranging cars. As others have mentioned the beach isn’t great – a fair amount of rubbish washes up in the mornings – but the pool is so lovely we never even considered swimming in the sea and the view from the patio and pool skips the beach and looks out directly to the sea. The sunrises and sunsets are just awesome, we never got bored of watching the sun set (with a beer usually!). Lovina is just 10 minutes by car with a huge number of restaurants to choose from; and a couple of them will collect you from the villa which is very convenient. I had read many reviews of the dolphin watching that were pretty mixed but we loved it – only about a dozen boats near us and we saw dozens and dozens of dolphin as well as flying fish and a pair of incredible blue marlins – one of the highlights of our trip. In the midst of British winter I will always think back to Villa the Mango Trees to cheer myself up!

This house, and the surrounding grounds are amazing. We spent many hours lounging in the various covered areas, relaxing, balanced with lots of play time in the giant pool. The caretakers are friendly and helpful, making good food, keeping everything clean, and helping you arrange for day trips. If you are looking for a little solitude, peace, and quiet, this place is ideal, as it is a little ways out of town. There are some good restaurants that will pick you up and bring you home. The only downside is the ocean… I don’t know if it is the time of year, or if it is always like that, but there was a lot of garbage floating in the water.

“Amazingly relaxing break”

This villa is situated on the northern shore of Bali.What we liked about it is that it is well situated from the hustle and bustle of a town. Paddy fields on one side and sea on the other. Our boys hired some scooters and were able to nip out for any requirements but the staff at the villa were also always available to hand. They were all very helpful and polite and charming. We asked for the massage ladies to come to the villa and it was heavenly having them outdoors to the sound of the waves and the blue or starry sky. Would recommend to families anytime. Thank you to the owners for thinking of all the little things they provided such as sarongs for the pool etc.

“Villa the Mango Trees is Heaven!”

Our family vacation included 4 adults and three children, the youngest age three. This beautiful home accommodated is extremely well. We had an amazing time here in Mango Trees villa! The villa was amazing, beautiful garden, clean and absolutely huge swimming pool, stylish interior, lot of space for 9 people and so on.. “Amazing villa”

Me and my husband spent 5 nights at the villa and loved it. On arrival it was jaw dropping! very large and spacious with the most amazing view!. Putu and Ilhu were great and cooked amazing food, they cared and looked after you. Although the setting of the villa is amazing we did find the overall location a little remote for us, we like to walk to local bars and restaurants but you would need a taxi or catch a bus. We ate at the Beach Spice Garden under recommendation and used the free shuttle service, this was great and the food very good but expensive. Overall we had a wonderful stay, the villa is kept spotless and the pool and garden area immaculate.. if I was to be really picky the only thing I would change would be the towels, for a villa of this standard they were quite tired and old. “Loved it!”

We stayed at Villa The Mango Trees for 5 nights for the first part of our Bali Holiday with our group of 2 adults and 3 children. It is the first time we have stayed in the northern part of Bali. I found the overall experience of staying there to be excellent. The villa grounds is large and the gardens, very large pool and out door area are kept immaculate and beautifully maintained by the gardener. The villa itself is kept in fine order by the two lovely ladies who take care of the daily housekeeping. They will also happily prepare and cook meals for you at your request. All you are required to do is select what what meal you’d like, give them the necessary amount of money for the ingredients, and they will do the shopping and cook up delicious food for you fit for a king. A security guard is also employed who comes on duty in the early evening and works on until the early morning. He does a tremendous job and it’s good peace of mind knowing someone is keeping a watchful eye on things overnight. The villa is set on a black volcanic sand beach which is unique and interesting but I chose not to swim in the water because there is a fair bit of rubbish in the water which washes up on the beach. This of course is of no fault of villa staff and someone is employed to pick up any rubbish that washes up on the beach which keeps it under control. There are also hawkers that troll up and down the beach trying to sell their wares to you and will stand on the edge of the villa grounds trying to get your attention and call out to you. Don’t make the mistake I did and buy something otherwise you may get pestered on a daily basis. If you are looking for a place to unwind and get away from the hustle and bustle with that little bit of added luxury, I would highly recommend this villa and can see myself returning in hopefully the near future.

Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten von Balis Norden sind von der Villa gut zu

erreichen, besonders empfehlenswert ist die Schnorcheltour nach Menjangan. Daß der Strand nicht besonders sauber ist, mindert nicht die Qualität der Villa, denn fast alle Strände auf Bali sind vermüllt. Auch die gute freundliche Organisation von Angelique im Vorfeld muss erwähnt werden. Alles in allem können wir die Villa The Mango Trees mit gutem Gewissen empfehlen.

“A Stunning villa”

We loved everything about this stunning villa. It is located a 15 minute drive from Lovina but most of the restaurants offer a free shuttle service which makes it really easy to travel into the village. The staff were great and they helped us by booking massages, restaurants and tours. We took a dolphin tour and the boat picked us up from the end of the garden. The villa was really clean and well maintained. The pool is cleaned daily. The pictures do not do it justice in terms of the size the pool and garden which are really spacious. The sand on this side of the island is volcanic which means the beach is made of black sand. There is debris which is washed up daily, but the staff do try their best to clean it. This is obviously no reflection on the owners but on the many people who drop litter into our seas. We stayed for 5 days which just wasn’t long enough.

“Villa set in paradise!”

Our stay at the Villa Mango Trees was absolute heaven! The site of the Villa is idyllic and the views from the main rooms is truly amazing. We (2 adults and 3 children) enjoyed our stay at the villa Mango Trees.The kids prefered the big swimming pool and we liked the relaxing places around the pool:very ideal to enjoy your massage (Putu and Ilhu can arrange for an appointment).But the kids were also proued to have each one of them a bedroom on their own with an outdoor bathroom;very luxurious.Komang was taking care of the swimming pool and the lovely garden and Made as the security garde was taking care of us during the night (he took us with his boat on a dolphin tour).Putu and Ilhu create nice meals (breakfast lunch and dinner).If you want to eat elsewhere no problem: there are a view nice restaurants in the area with normally free shuttle service and when the stuff is having a day off (normally on sundays) you can also order at home.The villa has a nice view, is near the beach.On our first trip to Bali we felt wellcomed and we were lucky to have such nice stuff so that we had no stress during our holidays.Maybe we see you again:Villa Mango Trees!

“Heaven on earth in “The Mango Trees”

We stayed 14 days in Villa The mango Trees , Lovina Bali last july with our two grown up children and their girl/boyfriend. The stay was a complete success! The villa is spacious, has all the comfort you can hope for and very well situated. The staff is amazing! Putu and Ilu are two lovely women who cook great food and are always there to help you with whatever you need or want. They have arranged for us motorbikes, the dolphin trip with Made (who is also the security guy for the villa) and are invisibly present! Thanks ladies. Koman the gardener and pool boy is a quit sweet guy who takes care of the garden and swimming pool and made with us a volleyball net in the pool! We were sad to leave these lovely people! The north of Bali is less crowded and offers good opportunities for various trips. Do not miss the Aling Aling and Sekumpul waterfalls, less known than Git Git but more pleasant. Certainly do not miss a tracking experience in the rice fields with Mayong tracking by Putu Artan, a fantastic way to experience balinese life.If you plan to say in the lovina area the “villa the mango trees “is the place to be! One (small) detail: the beach is not always very clean!

Overall the entire experience was just wonderful. Starting from the constant communication leading up to our stay by Angelique via email and sms through to the friendly and calming service given to us by the house maids (Putu and ILuh) as well as the gardener (Komag) and the security man (Made). Putu and ILuh were so polite and always had a smile on their face, whatever we asked was never a problem, they made phone calls to various people for us to organise things (restaurants, yoga class, snorkelling, drivers, food shopping etc) through to even attempting to cook dishes which we had requested but they had the never cooked before, nothing was too much trouble for them. Their dinners were unbelievably delicious and we were able to eat traditional Balinese food for very little cost. The villa itself was just as the website showed, the location was amazing, the house was super clean (thanks to Putu and ILuh), the facilities were spot on, overall our holiday could not have been better.

“Paradise”

Where do I start. Amazing, glorious, fantastic, oasis hideaway. From the time of first booking our 5 night stay the owner Angelique was so prompt and so helpful. Nothing was ever a problem. Fantastic communications. After a nightmare week in a villa in Seminyak we were soo happy when the driver arrived to take us to Villa the Mango Trees on the other side of Bali. The drive is long but beautiful and a great opportunity to see the real side of Bali. At the end of our trip we drove into the gates of what I can only describe as paradise. The staff where all waiting for us and greater us with such kindness and an ice cold drink. Fabulous.. The villa itself is exactly as portrayed in ALL advertisements. Actually it excelled the photos. We spent a magical 5 nights and the staff were kind caring attentive and just terrific. I can honestly highly recommend this villa. You will not be disappointed. The most beautiful and peaceful place in all my 30 years of traveling to Bali that I have ever stayed. Thank you to all the staff who were so patient and involved us in their lives (we learnt so much) and thank you Angelique for allowing us to share this spectacular treasure in Bali. Hint: stay longer than we did. 5 nights is defginately not long enough.

What a great place to be! Beautiful Villa situated on the beach, with a great view, even from your bedroom when you wake up! Wonderful garden with a swimming pool and all kinds of chairs/ lounge/bunga for relaxing or massage with Balinese music. Very private , good maintained, clean and everything you need for a wonderful holiday. We were spoiled by Illuh and Putuh with great food: the menu is maybe even better then in a restaurant. We felt secure with Komang guarding during the day and Made during the night. No regret for the early rise for the Dolphin tour, picked up in front of the villa: we saw at lest a hundred. We used the bikes to make a trip but also hired motor bikes. If you like a nice, relaxing holiday then GO!

We were a big family group that went to stay at the Mango Trees villa in Lovina. The villa itself is as magical as it looks in the pictures. It is every bit breathtaking. We stayed there for 3 days and 3 nights and loved every moment of it. We’ve been to other villas but none compares to this one.

There are many private places in the villa one can just retreat to for some quiet and tranquility. The pool was a good size for all of us and waking up to the view of the beach from two of the rooms is spectacular and breathtaking. We were serviced by the very helpful 4 staffs there at the villa who were always very attentive to our needs and wants even before we voiced them out. Good work in hiring such good people.

We went dolphin watching early one morning at 6am and just had to step out onto the beach and we had a boat ready for us. That was how convenient it was. We didn’t go out to explore the places as we just wanted a relax and recovery time there. We got massages done and food cooked in the villa itself by the staff. Prices are relatively cheap so it makes alot of sense to tip the staff more and/or other services of the people you hire to come to the villa to tend to you.

There will be peddlers on the beach selling souvenirs and little items but you don’t get too many of them, usually just 3 or 4 maximum in a day. Only thing to highlight to other travellers would be to use cars or vehicles that are small enough for the narrow Jalan Melati road. Buses will not be able to go through that stretch of road. If you’re in a big group, go in smaller vehicles. Big shout out to the staff of the Mango Trees villa for coming to get us in the middle of the night when we arrived and couldn’t proceed down the Jalan Melati road via our bus. They were all very amazing and we wouldn’t hesitate to consider coming back here again!

Villa Mango Trees, it’s like a paradise!

We, 2 adults and 2 children, really enjoyed our 11 days stay in the villa in May 2015.
The setting is beautiful, direct at the beach. This villa is into all details very well designed. The house is a modern and semi-open villa and there are many beautiful details.
As soon you arrive you feel a good vibe of everything around you and the welcoming smiling staff makes you feel immediately at “home”. Illuh and Putu have already prepared a meal for you. We will tell you the typical Nasi Goreng and the sateh together with a beer taste very good after a long trip.
We enjoyed the company, cooking and caring (i.e. shopping, washing etc.) of Illuh and Putu very much. They are wonderful persons and wonderful cooks. Every day you let them know what you like to eat, for breakfast and dinner and prepare it for you. Every day we had nice Indonesian fruit and dishes. Every meal was absolutely delicious (even for the kids).

There is also a guard making you feeling secure during the night. In the evening, Made will turn on the beautiful garden lights and shuts the parasols etc…
The gardener Komang is there from morning to evening and he is the most caring gardener we have ever seen in our live. The garden must love him very much. If you would like to have a fresh coconut : he climbs into the palmtree to take one (two or more) for you.

Everything was clean and the 4 big bedrooms makes it an excellent place. They have 1 extra room/studio so it is good to stay there with 2-10 persons. You can hear the surf of the sea even while you are in you’re bedroom (so zen)!
The pool is spacious and good for laps after a day of lazing around and in front is the sea with a clean black beach direct accessible from the nice well maintained garden. You’re private beach is also cleaned every day. You have to know that at 5.30 you will see a beautiful sunset. But after you have had dinner it’s really nice to jump into your private swimmingpool and see the beautiful stars.

And if that’s not enough, there is also a possibility to watch satellite tv.

Many of the previous reviews cover our positive experience. The many days of sunny weather were spent using the villas impressive amenities, including organising local masseurs to provide excellent massages on the front bale. The sea was certainly not swimmable given the local village used the nearby creeks. The lovely pool,lounges and front bale were well utilised and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and polite. Iluh and Putih organised a doctor, at short notice, for one of our group. Komang was there most days and kept the gardens and pool in top condition. He also fixed a stiff, heavy, sliding door which had been rusted by sea air. Made was a very proficient, engaging security guard. The bedrooms were very comfortable and had lovely garden or sea views. An on-site laundry was also well used.Watching daily village life, from morning fishing to ducks waddling along the beach, was delightful to witness. Nearby restaurants in Lovina offered variety, value and superb food- we tried Spice Beach Club, Le Jaenzen (with “interesting”owner-chef driving us in and back) and eclectic Rikkis Bar & Bistro.
Two of our group went on the 5.45am dolphin tour with Captain Made. Though seeing the many dolphins was exciting, they both said the highlight was the amazing sunrise they saw at 6.15am from on board their klungklung.
We all enjoyed watching the superb sunsets over West Bali/Java from the beach out front of the villa.

“Wow – Great Villa”

Villa Mango Trees is a restful place to stay, and a haven after such a long windy journey. The lay out of the villa is superb, seven of us stayed and we all felt we had plenty of space. The staff are amazing, they could not do enough to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. Illuh, and Putu cooked us some wonderful meals. Unfortunately even though the sand was cleaned each day, we were unable to swim in the beach owing to pollution. This does not reflect on the owner or staff in anyway as it is beyond their control. The swimming pool is a good size with lovely clean water,which is Komang cleaned daily, therefore definitely makes up for being unable to swim in the sea. Us girls all had massages lying on the outside bale-benongs, which relaxed us for the rest of the day. There are a number of nice restaurants in the Lovina area, we went to Spice on the beach and Damai in the hills. We have no hesitation in recommending Mango Trees as one of the best places to stay in Bali, and all hope to return at some stage in the future.

Villa The Mango Trees is truly a beautiful house. It contains of four bedrooms, two of which have a (nothing less than) magnificent ocean view of the villas private beach: black sand, blue water and a view of the outline of Java. The staff is friendly and helpful, and more than capable of providing great meals. We enjoyed every moment of our stay.
What really made our stay extra special was the contrast of the luxury of the villa and the local charm, that surrounded us. I wrote before that the beach is private, I admit that is truth of modifications. Because all day we would see fishing boats moving ind and out, and up and down of the coast. Every day the Duck Shepard would wave good morning and good evening, when he walked his floc of rice field ducks. And we would smile and sometimes have the privilege of talking with the women bathing in the small stream beside the house. And in this midst of truthful livelihood, we could enjoy cool drinks and family in our little garden of Eden.

Cette villa est la plus belle de notre séjour. Le personnel est présent et pourtant extrêmement discret. Ayu et Ilu sont d’excellentes cuisinières, le tout pour un prix modique. L’homme de sécurité nous a emmené voir les dauphins. Bref tout était parfait. n’hésitez pas venez la villa mango trees.

It was our first ever visit to the tropics and it turned out to be a very pleasant one. The drive from the airport gave us an impression of the very busy traffic, but also of the beautiful scenery of the mountains and the rice fields. Arriving at the Mango Trees we were amazed at the loveliness of the villa. And in the 2 weeks we stayed there we enjoyed every minute. The houses interior is very luxurious , the exterior has beautiful gardens and a wonderful view over the Bali sea. The swimming pool is marvelous and especially nice to look at when lit up in the evening.
The staff is respectful and very helpful, the ladies took very good care of the villa and of us, fulfilling our every wish. Delicious meals, breakfast, lunch and on request supper, they prepared anything and everything and using fresh local products. We spent an unique and unforgettable vacation at a very unique and unforgettable place, the Mango Trees. Highly recommended!

“Super stay near Lovina”

We stayed with our 1 year old son in this lovely house. The staff is super, preparing amazing nasi goreng or whatever you want. The house is well developed to guarantee you maximum privacy. All facilities in the house like wifi, pool etc is super. Please ask the crew in the house to organize a massage in the garden, it is super relaxing.

Amazing slice of paradise!

This was one amazing place and we all loved it and enjoyed our stay completely. Our only regret is that we didn’t get to spend more time there!

The place is true to the beautiful photos, spacious and nicely decorated and furnished, and we were pleasantly surprised that there was even a nice stock of books for the guests. We got the staff to cook quite a few of our meals and the food was great and very reasonably priced too. The staff were very helpful with everything as well, arranging for massages for us and even coming in early on our last day to provide us with a final breakfast. The driver took us wherever we wanted to go and was helpful in helping us plan our routes better too, as they know better the traffic conditions and how long each journey would take.

The staff also arranged for a dolphin watching trip for us, and they got us a very good guide- our boat ‘met up’ with many others at one particular spot but there were no dolphins there. our boatman was one of only 2 or 3 other boatmen who then proceeded to take us further elsewhere in search of the dolphins and we got a lovely show! he even stayed while the other few had already left so that we were the last boat still taking our time to enjoy and try to capture good photos!

The drive up from the airport is long (it took us over 3 hours and i confess, we were getting rather cranky towards the end of the journey especially since we arrived late in the evening) but the place is completely worth the long drive in. It was beautiful even at night and our moods completely changed when we finally got out of the car and saw what was waiting for us! Definitely well-maintained and clean, and so accurate to all the gorgeous pictures. Prices (villa rental, food (if you request their staff to cook for you), driver etc) are very reasonable too for what you get.
It was wonderful waking up to blue skies and a pool and sea view every morning as well as to the sound of waves crashing on the sand.
We all agreed that we would definitely revisit if we had the chance and this time spend more of our time relaxing in the villa itself, or perhaps try other villas (which all looked good too) offered by the same owner/establishment.
I communicated with Angelique for all our arrangements prior to our visit and she was lovely too- prompt replies and she answered all our questions and was most helpful in arranging all that needed to be done.

Overall, on a scale of 1 to 10, i’d say this gets a 14.7!

We went for 11 days to the villa the Mango Trees, with 2 children. They didn’t want to leave the overflowing pool only for the food which was made by the fabulous staff.
They could make you anything you want.

Nice villa, with splendid view, great staff.

Tip: make a dolphin trip with de security guard. (Captain Dolphin)

“Relaxing Place”

A beautiful Villa. Provided with all the luxury you can imagine. All the rooms were well maintained and as shown on the photo’s. The beds were comfortable and all the bathrooms luxurious. The staff was very friendly and they made our stay very relaxing. Cooking, cleaning, tidying and even helping with our kids or any other questions we had. The gardener even provided us with fresh coconuts from the trees in the garden. The pool was lovely. Beach beautiful to look at, but not so clean. Lots of rubbish that was washed ashore probably by the little creeks that flow into the ocean on both sides of the property. The taxi driver was very friendly was also our tour guide. Such a lovely person that he became our friend.

“Nice relaxing stay”

We stayed for two weeks in Villa The Mango Trees. The villa is a nice place to relax. The pool is lovely and we were well taken care of by the staff, who prepared a Balinese dinner for us almost every night. We also went dolphin spotting one morning. We were picked up in front of the villa by our security guard, who owned a boat. We really enjoyed the trip, it is worth getting up early for. If you are looking for a place to unwind, The Mango Trees is the place to be!

All you need to unwind!

We recently stayed at Villa Mango Trees with two families for a few days and we loved it! The villa is a combination of a traditional Balinese house and modern materials and interior design. The living room with adjacent kitchen is modern, with some nice artistic elements. Most of the time we sat outside though, on the couch, at the dinner table or in the Bale benong. The villa has two spacious bedrooms on each side of the house, perfect for two families. The bedrooms on the pool side offer a great view of the sea when you open your curtains in the morning. All bedrooms have modern semi-open bathrooms and two of them even have an outdoor bath. There are two Bale Benongs, one besides the swimming pool and one on top of one of the new wings. Both offer great views of the Bali see, with fishermen passing by in their boats. The beach is right next to the swimming pool. It has black vulcanic sand, but it’s nice and sandy (not rocky). The water is shallow for about 50 meters and the surf is small, so it’s quite safe to play in for children. The house has nice and friendly personnel. The cooks are at your service and can cook a great variety of tasty dinners. Breakfast is basic but good, unless you ask the cooks to make you something special. Lovina, about 5 kms away is a charming small town that is not as busy as the touristic places like Ubud and Kutah. The area has plenty of nice places to visit, like waterfalls, rice terraces, a Buddhist temple, dolfing watching and great snorkeling at Menjangan island. We especially liked a hike through the rice terraces and forest near Lovina with a guide. We found the north coast in general and Villa Mango Trees in particular a perfect place to stay with our families with small children. Enjoy! Sander, Singapore
